I’m sure most parents get interesting insights into the universe from their kiddos! I have had the priviledge to hear these conundrums through the years and have actually had the fortitude to write a few down – something I highly recommend to any mom!
Now that I have a blog, I have yet another outlet to remember these amusing, interesting, thought provoking and sometimes outright hilarious views on life and more.
This morning as we were discussing Son2′s birthday somehow the subject of holidays came up and are they on certain days of the week or month. As I mentioned Valentine’s day Son1 made an interesting and profound statement/observation:
Son1: What day is Valentine’s day anyway mom?
Mom: February 15th . . .
Son1: That’s a weird date it is an odd number. . .
Mom: Oh, wait, I was wrong it is on the 14th I always get confused, sorry.
Son1: Well, that makes more sense.
Mom: Why?
Son1: Well it is an even number and for Valentine’s day each number needs a mate or they won’t be paired up and it can’t be Valentine’s day!
See . . . I told you . . . absolutely PROFOUND!
