Approaching quickly too! I have a list of favorite things from 2008 I want to share with all of you by the end of the week. In the meantime, I thought I’d reveal my new blog design.
I have to say that it is my favorite design so far because for the first time, I believe it really does reflect who I am … all feminine but surrounded by boys! I may still play with it a bit (I’m trying to decide on a background, I’ve already changed the size of the boys’ faces and I will change them through the year as I get new images of the boys), but overall, it’s fun.
I totally forgot to mention that the art is from Amy Sumrall’s Funkarooni Kit! I’m so blessed that she is allowing me to use her beautiful art for blog designs! This is the first chance I’ve had to use her work and I truly had a ton of fun using it!
I’m trying to simplify things – hint: that is quite possibly the theme for me again this year – and I’ve already started here by weeding out quite a bit of my sidebars. I wanted them to be cleaner, simpler and more informative. So they will also be a work in progress. I may even need to rearrange the way the content and sidebars are laid out, so if you have any suggestions on any of that please feel free to let me know your thoughts.
I want all of you, my lovely readers, to like visiting and feel comfortable here … not overwhelmed by clutter.
Yes, I still have tons of products to share with all of you (the week between Christmas and New Year is NOT the time to present those though), but I hope that as we go through 2009 you’ll find mostly encouragement through my posts and thoughts.
Oh, and another new thing in 2009 …. honoring deserving mom bloggers with free blog designs … be on the lookout for all the details on this so that you can nominate the mom you think deserves it.

I like it a lot, especially what you said about being feminine while surrounded by boys! I recently started a new blog just to ramble on and found a really pretty template for it that is different from what I usually pick but I love it.

I wish I was a mom so I could win a layout. I have 3 nieces and a nephew, though. And I can’t afford it (I’m a unemployed teacher – well, I’m subbing right now, but no jobs are open for the next year or so).
