   I don’t know about the rest of you but its just not the holidays but the cold weather, the extra socks, jackets and blankets that end up being washed, then the bedding from guests, and towels from wiping down the dogs and kiddos after playing in the snow. Yep the laundry basket grows so much more in the winter, it never stops.

   I am a messy cook. Especially with more cooking and baking with my daughters during the holidays, we dirty up our clothes as well as the aprons that are suppose to keep us clean. Then there are the dish cloths and rags for wiping up messes that need to be washed.

   Extra laundry around the holidays seems like a given. There are the extra towels and bedding for family that visit. There are the extra dishtowels and dishclothes that need to be washed from the holiday baking and there just seems to be extra laundry in general around this time of year. I am already a fan of Clorox 2, so a coupon for a free bottle would be excellent!

   I have extra laundry because my little girl loves to wear her “holiday dresses” and she will constantly change between her pretty dresses to her normal day clothes– and it seems like I never stop:) Thank goodness she is so cute!

   I think the laundry piles up because I get so distracted with other things- wrapping, cooking, entertaining. I hate when I have more than the normal 1 – 2 loads a day.

   I think I wash the tablecloth a few times a day! Other then that I think the clothes pile up easier because the kids are out of school and I tend to forget!

    I had lots of extra laundry! My cousin came in from out of town, with her family of 4! So many extra towels from showers and baths! Also my daughter is a very messy eater, and we had 3 seperate dinners in 2 days, so that 3 more outfits of hers! Gotta love the holidays!

    Always more laundry in the winter with more, larger and heavier clothing. then you add the holidays and you have extra linens and such.

    We do a lot of creative baking with food dye and it seems that no matter how careful we are, I am always doing emergency loads full of stained clothes. I think next time I am going to saran wrap the kids haha

    I have to do 4 loads of laundry or more a day to keep up with my 4 kids and dear old hubby!!! I constantly do dishes and laundry I have used clorox 2 and like it my kids are SOOOOO messy!!! they spill all the time 8,6,2 girls and 7 month old boy keep me going!

    It is so busy during the holidays that we tend to let laundry slide. That is until someone complains they don’t have something. We also are out and about more. Kids playing outside, changing clothes like crazy, parties..etc.

    I do all my linens sometimes daily for the week leading up to Christmas. Thats the one week that we allow all the grands to eat where they want, sleep where they want and just about so anything they want as long as it isnt dangerous. Thusly, sheets, blankets, pillowcases etc are done on a daily bases right along with the linens.

    I don’t know that there is really MORE laundry during Christmas but I seem to always be behind during the holiday season. Also, we have Christmas eve at my parents and Christmas morning at my inlaws. We usually have one nice outfit each and I have to do laundry after we get home Christmas eve, to have everything done by Christmas morning. It beats having to have to dressy outfits! Thanks for the great contest!

    The holidays means extra laundry for me this year…because my son will be coming home from college with a HUGE load of laundry for me!
    AND, his little sister (age 3) will be busy making messes with baking, holiday crafts….lots of fun means more laundry!!

    We invariably have house guests during the holidays which means more towels and sheets to wash. With house guests around, it also means more cooking and baking and with a 5 year old that wants to help in the kitchen… that means there will be more things to wash!

    more laundry during the holidays, yes, more entertaining, visitors from out of town, more and different functions/events, all this adds up to more laundry. Clorox is a staple in our laundry supply cabinet. Happy Holidays

    Winter laundry is so much worse than summer laundry! One sweatshirt takes up as much space as 10 tank tops, so the hamper is overflowing before you know it.

    For me I don’t know if I have more laundry during the holidays or not, but it sure seems like it. I guess maybe because I cook more, we got out more, or we are just plain messier at the holidays. But I always find the laundry piling up quickly during the holidays.

    This time of the season, there are hunting clothes, ski clothes, gloves, hats, mittens, warm socks, and extra towels/sheets for guests – those are the extra items that keep us busy with laundry during this season.

    We go out and have people over more during the holidays. We made have to change outfits more than twice a day at times and that means more laundry.
    I’ve learned to just throw a load in to wash before I go to sleep and toss them in the dryer in the morning. This makes it a little easier to manage the extra loads.

    Not only am I an avid baker (hence flour everywhere ALL the time), but we have two young dogs… need I say more? Muddy pawprints, licked walls, drooly blankets are a part of our daily lives!

    we wash all new clothing before wearing it since both my boyfriend and daughter are quite sensitive when it comes to clothing and my autistic son doesn’t like rough things on him. So all new clothes means everything must be washed. Company means extra bedding and clothes!

    Because we put out holiday towels, and the kids are always all over the place…changing clothes more often than ever because they are so busy this time of year (that’s teens for ya!)…I always have a ton of extra laundry over the holidays.

    My extra laundry during the holidays consists of all the table linens, napkins, etc. In addition to that is the 3 outfits a day my young son goes through because he\’s home all day and loves to play outside. Funny how he loves to GET dirty, but doesn\’t like to BE dirty! Then there\’s all the bed linens from my brother and sister-in-law and their 3 kids staying over. Thanks for the neat giveaway!

    Really the only extra laundry I do during the holidays comes from all the baking and cooking. I dirty lots of stuff that needs bleaching like bar towels, hand towels, cloths I cool baked goods on, aprons, etc. Thanks!

    Being a stay at home dad (at home with a back injury after 3 failed surgeries) I’m lucky enough to be spending my days with my 4 yo son Nick and my 2 yo daughter Maddie. My wife doesn’t allow me to do her laundry anymore due to my “addiction” to clorox (I’d drink the stuff if I’d survive…only kidding) but being a police officer, I know all the outside the laundry room uses of bleach as a disinfectant, but I have gotten alot better with the laundry.

    It feels like the laundry is never ending here normally, but during the holiday season there’s more with the cloth tablecloths I bring out, plus the extra cloth napkins from company.

    I can’t blame anyone but myself for the extra laundry I have during the holidays. I love to put the kids in sweet little holiday outfits, and I change them over and over. This makes for some ferocious laundry piles!
