Congratulations to your Sister and her family. My family is also awaiting the birth of a new baby. My oldest daughter is expecting her first baby, a little boy, due in March. Selecting a name wasn’t a problem for her. She made up her mind when she was a little girl she would name her little boy Brady so Brady it will be.
Girls names that were tossed around before we found out she was having a boy included Zoe, Isabella, Bayleigh, and Savannah.

It took us a while to decide on names for our children. Although they did have a name a few weeks before they were born. I think you should pick Peyton. That’s my daughter’s name. Not easily shorten! We didn’t want that either. Although it can be a girl/boy name sorry. Autumn and Isabells are a couple other chooses.
Congrats on the new baby girl soon joining the family! Names for us have always been tough, especially since we tend to favor longer, unique names that can be shortened to something more common if they wish. Like our daughter Kaydence (Kaydee) and Emmaleigh (Emma). Some other names that were high on our list for this baby were
Savannah
Georgia
Olivia
Tess
Bridgette
Shelbi
Morgan

My husband and I are procrastinators too. We still have not decided on boys names. Before I found out I was having 2 boys, I was looking at P names for girls. I really like Page and Piper. I also like Isabeau from Ladyhawke.
I really like the name Mikayla Rose, but also love Olivia and Grace for classic names as well!
I used to work with a woman that had a daughter named Reidel.

How exciting! A new baby to join the family…What a blessing! A few girl names I like lately are Ava and Ava, Shelby, Madalynne, Isabella, and Sarah Grace. Can’t wait to see what they pick!

Ooops on the first name I just meant Ava…Not Ava and Ava!LOL! I was going to put Ava Lynne. Sorry!
As soon as I hit the send button, I thought of another one…Olivia.
On a side note, if my son had been been a girl we were going to name her Shelby Grace.
Little girl names are fun!

Girls names were hard for me and my hubby to agree on too especially with our second daughter. I too didn’t want a name that people would tend to shorten. Here are a few ideas:)
Alexa, Alexis, Alyssa, Ashley, Ava, Bella, Brooke, Ellie, Emma, Hannah, Jenna, Lauren, Mia, Mya, Noelle

I like nams that are a little bit unusual, but pronounce-able. My son’s name is Jathan, but for a girl I like Jerica, Tannah or Taryn. Good luck!
I love love love the names *Lola* and *Lucy*. Unfortnately my SIL and her daughter already have those names so I will never be able to use them. I am totally with you on the names that can’t be shortened band wagon. Good luck picking!
Well, I WOULD suggest my own name: Celeste – but that’s a ‘C’ name! I love my name (pronounced like the word “celestial” without the -”ial”)…I also love the name Violet. Oh, how about Helene (that’s my middle name!) I think it is really pretty! I heard a pretty name the other day: Novia.
I am fond of the names Maggie, Lucy, Emma, Ava, Elle or even Eva. My husband disliked all of those names when choosing a name for our daughter, so we named her Addison instead.
Jessicas last blog post..maybe savannah?
Lucy, Hazel, Eva, Sylvie. Please no made-up or “original” spellings! We’re naming ours Riley.
