This Giveaway has ended and the winner has been contacted, thank you! Be sure to check out the latest contests!
I was very excited to discover recently that Tyndale has such a great line of children’s one year Bibles and devotionals! It’s almost an annual tradition for me, although I don’t make true resolutions, to decide that we haven’t been on the right track teaching the boys about the Bible.
So the timing couldn’t be better for me to review these books and tell you about them so that you can enter to win them for your own family!
Here’s what we received:
The One Year Devotions for Boys – for boys ages 8-12 years. This book features a different devotional for each day of the year each one based on a scripture verse from the Bible. Older children do great just letting them study it for themselves, and if you have more than one in the same age group they enjoy doing this study together as a “team” or even with mom or dad!
The One Year Devotions for Preschoolers – This devotional book is perfect for preschoolers ages 3-6. Again, offering a different devotional for each day of the year, but setup in such a way that it is very appealing to the younger crowd. Simple stories that they can understand with colorful pictures, a scripture verse for them to try and learn and a little prayer. My 2 year olds enjoy this book, but it is also fun for my 5 year old to listen to! The little ones cannot seem to get enough, so I always have to read each day’s devotional at least two times in a row to keep everyone happy (they are very quick reads though).
The One Year Children’s Bible – recommended for ages 6-10. This Children’s Bible isn’t a true bible, but follows stories through the Bible, getting you through the entire Bible in one year. My boys definitely enjoy this Bible and you will often find my 5, 9 and 10 year olds gathered around before school to listen to that day’s story (even the 2 year old twins join in). I can also see this Bible being a great one to use if you are a family that has younger children and you want to begin doing after dinner devotionals as a family!!
The One Year Devotional for Girls – for ages 8-12. Take all the same features offered in the One Year Devotions for Boys book (daily reading, scripture verse, etc) but give it a decidedly feminine twist and you have a great book for girls. Just the book’s cover is ultra appealing! Again, focusing on subjects that children can relate to and learn from, this is a great book to help your child “dig deeper” into Scripture and their faith!
Right now, Tyndale Kids is offering a great contest and giving away devotionals on their site here!
I also have some devotionals to give away! In order to enter you must check out these devotionals at Tyndale.com, then come back here to leave a comment and tell me which one(s) your family could use and why!
You are welcome to leave an extra comment (for an extra entry) two more ways ….

I would like the One Year Devotional for Preschoolers. My 3 year old would enjoy me reading it to her. I have a 12 and 16 year old but I don’t think my 12 year would want the other book. She will be 13 in less than a month. The Josh McDowell Devotionals sound interesting. Thanks for the giveaway.
I entered the other contest too.

The On Year Children’s Bible would be great. With it, we could go over stories they have heard in Sunday School and may have questions about, but didn’t have time in Sunday School to ask. We can also find out if they have been paying attention in Sunday School. It would be nice on those Sunday’s when the little ones are sick in bed, the weather is too bad to be driving on an icy highway, or we’re off on vacation.

The One Year Children’s Bible
From the account of God’s creation to God’s revelation to John, each story in this children’s Bible is chosen carefully to provide kids with a daily reading that will deepen their love of God’s Word.
