As Mother’s Day approaches I cannot help but think of the moms who are pregnant this time of year. This week I want to introduce you to www.UniquePregnancyGifts.com, a great website that offers products especially for pregnant moms!
Owner Julie Carr is a mompreneur and the products she offers truly are unique. I love her passion for her products…
I love sharing the excitement of a new mom-to-be or grandmom-to-be when they call to order a pregnancy book. It’s an honor to be able to share this magical time in their life and to give them something to look forward to each day if they are having a difficult pregnancy. I also love the flexibility of working while my sons are in school, and then being able to devote my full attention to them when they get home. It’s a perfect set up for us.
Through each of my pregnancies, the one thing I always craved (no, not food silly) was a daily update on what was going on with my baby. The books I had simply didn’t give me the information I so longed for. That is why I highly recommend that you check out Countdown to My Birth which is an absolutely amazing tool for any pregnant mom! It is a day by day pregnancy calendar written entirely from the baby’s point of view.
I was inspired to write the book when I was pregnant with my first child. I had been talking to my mother on the phone about my pregnancy symptoms, and she asked, “What’s happening with the baby?” At that point, I really didn’t know – I had been focusing on me and my symptoms. After my son was born, I researched and developed the only day by day pregnancy countdown from the baby’s point of view.
For example, ‘Today my heart beats for the first time” or “My eyes are open now and I can see shadows”. How exciting for Moms, Dads, and even grandparents to anticipate turning the page each day to see what is happening with their little baby. If you are pregnant or know someone who is, make sure you grab one!
The other amazing product that I think is a must have for any expecting family with older children is called Making Me: The Pregnancy Activity Book for My Big Brother or Sister. Also written by Julie, this AMAZING activity workbook offers a similar concept to Countdown to My Birth, but with fun daily activities for your children! Every day there is a fun new activity for your child to do and a great developmental detail for them to learn about what’s happening with the new baby sibling their mom is carrying.
The activity book comes complete with colored pencils and their very own special “ruler” to see how big their new sibling is getting from day to day. Each day’s activities also tells the child something new about their developing sibling and tells them how many more days are left in the pregnancy. The book is completely customizeable of course, so you fill in the dates from start to finish based on YOUR pregnancy.
As you may have guessed by now, this Activity Book is for older children ages 5-10. It would have been a lot of fun to have for my older boys when I was pregnant with the twins! What a great way to get your children involved in the pregnancy and to teach them amazing things about how a baby develops at the same time!
Julie has offered one very lucky winner their choice between the two books featured here today:

Attempting fertility again! (this would be baby #3 if it came to be.) My 6yr. old daughter is already asking tons of questions (as we have tried to involve her with this process as much as we can.) I think this would be a really neat way to keep her involved!
