I was recently told of some very fun Mother’s Day resources offered by the Special Olympics. So be sure to hop on over there and check it out.
At their site they offer some great information about the items they offer for Mother’s Day (including an amazing Mother’s Day card taken from a painting done by a Special Olympics athlete) as well as some great information about the Special Olympics.
They recently ran a large campaign to end the r-word. You can read all about that here and find out how the use of the r-word profoundly affects people everyday.

My husband has coached for Special Olympics since he was in high school, and he got me involved as early as our first date! Now that our children are older they are getting involved, too.
We love the cards designed by Special Oly athletes and have purchased them as Christmas cards in the past. I wasn’t aware that they had cards for other occasions as well, so thanks for the post.
