    wrapping my little ones tight and walking around with them always worked for me when they were fussy, that and singing softly.

    My daughter is in having her baby as we speak! I would love to have this safety pack. When my babies were little, I got into the habit of cooing a certain way while rocking them…when they were fussy, I’d begin the cooing sound and they would usually settle down; I heard of another mother with a colicky baby that would lay him on the top of the dryer and turn it on…the warmth and agitation soothed him.

    Two things always worked best for us when our daughter was fussy. swaddling and breastfeeding.

    I really like the design of the safe sippy cup, although frankly I think their site could be better designed. It’s not very easy to browse for products.

    A few of the products I liked were the Safe Sippy and the Moby Wrap baby carrier. I have been kinda lucky and havent had a terribly fussy baby…nothing a little rocking and cuddling couldnt handle.

    Having mommy usually did the trick with my fussy babies (I have two mommy babies). Walking around and bouncing also worked.

    I sing A LOT. I guess my son got used to my singing while in the womb, because since his birth, singing to him always comforts him if he’s fussy or upset. : ) He’s a “mama’s boy” and I LOVE it!

    I have three children on the autism spectrum, all of them were very fussy babies. I can say with out a doubt that swaddling helped them calm down. It’s something that to this day helps them when they are very hard to control. I have a new baby now and we continue to swaddle him. We don’t see the issues that we did with the other kids, but as many of you have mentioned swaddling helps so much to keep them feeling secure. The other tip I can say is using water, either on the skin or just the sound of running water has often helped us. Especially in public places.

    car seat id for the seat and stroller- what if mom passed out- ok this is it

    fussy baby-hmm mine are not orw were never fussy- ok liar liar- ok up all night – watching movies till you are exhausted with them — walk on the treadmill or go on the bike

    What worked best for me was holding her gently, singing softly and walk, walk, walk! When all else failed, going for a ride. She would finally fall asleep in her carseat! The trick of course, was not waking her up when placing her back in bed.

    Absolutely nothing worked for my daughter that cried her entire first year, but I’ve heard car drives are supposed to work.

    Going for a drive with my fussy daughter helped but my son hates it! When he is fussy he only wants to nurse, nothing else soothes him!

    Swaddling and nursing. Also, my firstborn did not want to rock but she LOVED the exercise ball. Every night, after nursing & swaddling, I bounced her up and down on the ball. Worked wonders.

    Also, pushing her in the stroller around the house. She like to feel the bumps from carpet to tile to wood, etc.

    What worked for you when you had a very fussy baby? Rocking my baby in the recliner while breast feeding- worked with each of them so far (knock on wood. I am SO bad at swaddling, what a brilliant design!

    I found music helped a lot. Plus a tight swaddle and some rocking. Thankfully we didn’t have too much trouble with our littleone.

    Though I loved nursing my kids, I hated putting them back in their cribs before they were settled and comfy. To help them along, I would put a hot water bottle wrapped in a blankie in their crib while I nursed. That way, they would have a warm spot to cuddle into once I put them back down to sleep. Tip: I slept with the blanket in my bed for a few days so it would have my scent and be more comforting to them. Worked like a charm!

    As much as I didn’t want to, I served as the human pacifier for my son when he was fussy. It always worked without fail!

    What always worked best when my guys were fussy was swaddling them up, holding them close to my body, and rocking them very strongly, while making the “shhhhh” sound. Worked every time!

    One great tip would be to read Harvey Karp’s book The Happiest Baby on the Block. I met him and saw him swaddle and rock babies and his techniques are amazing and easy to learn!!

    My daughter loved to be swaddled and held(still does and she’s 4) My other daughter it was play soft music or take a walk outside.

    The one product that appeals to me the most is Baby First Aid Kit – Diaper Bag Buddy!

    My way to deal with a fussy baby is my Celtic Music CD!
    I don’t know why but it calms the fussiest baby!

    I am the mom of a large brood of kids and I have found that what works for one baby may not work for another. However, holding the baby close, singing and walking or rocking the baby gently usually works on most babies.
