Naptime is Becoming a Problem

That’s right…nap time is becoming a BIG problem! The twins are currently going through a “difficult” napping phase – ie. they DON’T want to nap! I on the other hand survive on that one hour of relative peace each day, so naps are simply not optional!

They are only three and almost all of my children have napped until age 5…a little longer than some children I know, but very nice just the same.

My children took naps until they were three or four. My rule of thumb was that as long as they showed a need for naps they took them. They just couldn’t “hang” through a full day without a nap.

After the age of three they took naps less frequently and would fight it. I’m with you that I needed the peace as much as they needed the rest. I don’t have any good advice for twins, but I think I’d let the 5 yr. old know he’ll have to start napping if he continues to keep his little brothers from sleeping.
