Great tips! I shop all year round too. I mostly utilize second hand stores and yard sales. I have two girls, most of my friends with boys say that it is more difficult to find used clothing for boys.

Regardless where they come from, I kind of set this standard for myself when I’m shopping at a place with great deals. It has to either be something I would have had to buy anyway or something that can replace something that I would buy anyway. And I do buy ahead to try to keep myself from getting in a situation where I have an emergency and have to spend more money than I normally would but I only buy one size ahead (for storage purposes). I also sell their clothes at one of the children’s consignment sales and usually make more than I spend on their whole seasons wardrobe. There closets are full of little gap dresses that I paid less than two dollars for.

Anyway, thanks so much for this post. It is right up my alley!

    Blessings,
