Although I’m unable to participate this month (trying to write up a couple of contests for all of you), I sincerely encourage all of you to take part! Welcome to A Frog In My Soup! I’m so glad you took a moment to stop by and visit! I’m very excited to be part of the party this year and hope to meet many new and exciting bloggers in the process!

My name is Shera and I’m the 30-something mom behind A Frog In My Soup.  Why that name?  Well, it just came to me one night and stuck!  No I haven’t actually had any of the kiddos put a frog in my soup, but when you are mom to 6 boys ages 12, 9, 8, 4 & 2 year old twins you really live on the edge . . . wondering, waiting, expecting just about anything!  Here’s a little welcome from the kids:

My Hubby and I have been married for 14 years and feel blessed to be raising our boys in the town he grew up in!  We’re always trying to figure out creative ways to thrive in our teensy tiny 1050 square foot house though (thank goodness for beautiful property). 

I started this blog as a way to continue journaling about my sons.  After the twins were born I simply didn’t have time to scrapbook anymore but I didn’t want to lose those precious moments!!!  Over time it became so much more though!  The rebirth of my passion for writing and encouraging moms really show through many of the posts.  It also presented a great way for me to journal my devotions.  You’re very welcome to check out my Mommy Reality Check series as well as my Life With Boys series. 

Now I am offering 2 new contests each week for my wonderful readers to enjoy and enter!  I love being able to do this, not only to bless my readers, but also because it gets the word out about so many great products and work at home mom’s businesses!  Contests are always listed at the top of my home page and in my left sidebar!

In all my spare time I am also a web designer and own www.SweetnSimpleDesign.com!  I design exclusively for moms and wahms and LOVE doing it!   My biggest product is Mom Blogs and I’d venture to say that’s because blogging is so near and dear to my heart.  It definitely doesn’t hurt though that I believe that every mom’s blog should be a reflection of them, their personality and their family and no two blogs I create are the same.  I also believe that it should be affordable!

I mentioned yesterday that Classy Mommy is having a Cyber Baby shower! There is still time to enter and I encourage you to do so - you have until 10 am (cst) on Tuesday, November 13th to enter! As I was reading through Colleen’s shower post about all the games I simply could not resist participating!!! I mentioned yesterday (and linked to) my post from the last cyber baby shower, but here’s a few details to enter a couple of the games being played.

Game #1: Quickest labor and delivery of a first baby. I obviously don’t qualify to enter this one since my first baby’s birth totalled 9 hours to bring into this world! Every other birth was well under 5 hours long and several births were under 3 hours.

Game #2: Belly Bump - it doesn’t look nearly as impressive as it could have, but keep in mind this picture was taken a full month before the baby was born!

Game #3 : Nursery - not entering this one, we have not had a true nursery since our first guy wasn an infant, and I don’t have pictures.

Game #4: Biggest baby! This one I am entering! Although I know that there have been many babies who were much larger at birth than my biggest they are still worth mentioning! My first son weighed in at 10 lbs (ugh) and my 4th son weighed in at 9 lbs (son 2 was 8lb8oz, son 3 was 8lb13oz and sons 5 & 6 were Preemies).

I have a tendency to make my participation posts for these cyber showers rather detailed and lengthy. This isn’t completely necessary, and won’t be as much of a problem for most women since having 6 children is a few more than the norm!

I really do encourage you to participate and don’t forget to mention the prizes you want in your entry. If you aren’t a blogger or simply don’t want to enter for any of the big prizes, all you have to do is leave a comment on Colleen’s shower post and mention the prizes you want there. There are plenty of prizes to go around and it is such a fun event!!!

Prizes: I have been pouring over all of the prizes for quite some time today and I have had a very difficult time choosing!
