It’s been one of those weeks. One where I can’t quite seem to catch my breath no matter how hard I try or what I do to try to slow down. There is officially just under one week left of school for all 6 of my boys and I am definitely feeling the crunch!
It’s funny how the end of school year is met with just as much anticipation and excitement (probably more on the part of teens) as the first day of school. By the end of the school year I am oh-so-ready for it to all be over.
The second half of this year we added the bonus of driving the youngest three to their elementary school on the other side of town. When we moved, we decided to get a variance to keep our youngest boys in their elementary school through the end of the school year because we didn’t want to move them mid-year. Great in theory, lots of work in actuality.
We are winding down with last minute assignments and field trips and (dun dun dun) Football of all things! Yep, my soon-to-be Senior picked up his football gear for “Spring” football on Monday and my soon-to-be Freshman picks all his gear up today!
Speaking of today….. our fabulously adorable and sweet Salesman turned 15! It never ceases to amaze me how time flies. I am constantly amazed by his seemingly endless supply of energy, passion, confidence and enthusiasm. I honestly don’t know where he gets it all from, but I would love to have even an ounce of it!
So, there you have life in a nutshell for our family! Hope you’re summer is off to a great start with lots of fun activities planned!
