My Weight Loss Journey Continues…

It’s no secret that I am attempting to lose what is left of my baby weight.  I’ve been on the Nutrisystem program for a month now, and I although I am loving the system, I am incredibly frustrated…  I think my scale is broken.

Here’s the thing – I feel great.  I feel like I have lost weight.  I am more comfortable in my clothes.  My friends and family have all commented on the “weight I’ve lost”, but my scale won’t budge.  I admit, I am not sticking to the program 100%.  This is completely my fault, but I feel like it is near impossible to never eat out, especially with two kids and an active social life.  That being said, Nutrisystem understands this and has given me some awesome tips on how to handle eating out in a healthy way, and I am doing my best to follow them!  Perhaps I really do just need a new scale…

Regardless, that is enough of my complaining.  Here’s the happy news – I truly feel wonderful.  I have more energy, my skin looks better, my clothes feel better, I just feel healthier in general.  The Nutrisystem food is delicious.  I rarely feel hungry, and I never feel deprived.  As a matter of fact, when I do eat something that I know is not the best thing for my body, I don’t feel good afterwards.  I always wish I didn’t eat that slice of pizza/cookie/etc.  And my cravings for sweets and junk food have decreased significantly!  So, what are some the foods I have been eating?  I’m glad you asked!  Here’s a sample daily menu for me – and yes, it’s okay to be jealous.  icon smile My Weight Loss Journey Continues...

Breakfast:  A delicious Cinnamon Streusel Muffin with a refreshing Coffee Protein Shake

Morning Snack:  Mixed Nuts

Lunch:  A Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla

Afternoon Snack:  Banana or small piece of fruit

Dinner:  Vegetable Lasagna

Dessert:  Ice Cream Sandwich

Seriously – this is a typical day of food, plus I will snack on vegetables when I am feeling hungry or like snacking.  The best part, I don’t have to make any of it.  It is all prepared for me and it genuinely tastes delicious!  It is seasoned to perfection, and there hasn’t been anything I have tasted so far that has been bland or “diet” tasting.  Plus, it’s never boring.  I don’t eat the same things over and over, and even when I do have a “repeat”, it’s because I want to!

So, when I finally get out and buy a new scale I will update everyone on the actual number of pounds I have lost, but in the meantime, to find out more about Nutrisystem,  or to join, you can call 1-888-853-4689 or visit http://www.nutrisystem.com/nsblog.
