I know I’m obsessed with the extreme cuteness factor in my kiddos! Today they are just plain cute. Here’s a few minutes of my day with them.
Lately it is all about talking on the phone! Which is funny to me since I don’t really spend a lot of time on the phone. Maybe it is because it is one of the few things in their life that is 100% off limits!!! They do have a toy phone or two but usually they are ignored and extreme measures are taken to attempt to get at “Mommy’s Phone”.
Today they must be desperate to chat – M has a language that he speaks fluently (we don’t understand it, but it’s apparent by his actions that he believes that it should be a commonly understood way of speaking) and he speaks this language practically every waking moment!
I caught M walking around with a toy phone against his head talking fast, laughing and wandering and just having a grand conversation. A few minutes later I noticed that E had Daddy’s Rino (gps/walkie talkie thingy) and was yelling “hulla, hulla, hulla” at it (that’s E for Hello). This is now the item desired by both so a bit of a battle begins and since they aren’t supposed to get near this thing anyway I had to confiscate it. Which of course they took issue with, but we need to move on boys!
E has some sinus ick going on and has a runny nose. Unfortunately today in a desperate moment I had to use his shirt to wipe his nose (I know it’s gross – but I honestly had no choice). Both babies were on my lap and there was nothing else even remotely near me – not even wipes (sigh). Just now as he is playing he sneezed and as I was getting ready to go grab something to take care of it he looked down at his shirt and decided to use it to wipe his nose himself. It was actually adorable – crazy I know, but it was! He looked up at me so proud right after he did it too – see mom I can take care of myself too! No way – do not grow up yet!
Wipes! Ugh! What is the deal with their obsession with wipes? They even try to eat them, but the ultimate is to sit there with the box and just pull out the wipes one by one as fast as humanly possible! I just don’t get it – anything off limits maybe?!?
Hats! In the middle of the wipes thing, there’s E sticking a baseball cap on his head. He would live in a baseball cap if the darn things would stay on by themselves for a longer period of time.
Oh, and one last thing – they seem to be developing a twin language. That or it’s always been there and they are just starting to use it. Some may find this funny, but when my brother-in-law asked me if they talk in their own language to each other (he’s a twin and says that he and his brother did this for years – ugh!) I said that I had caught them doing it and really prefer that they don’t! Seriously! If they can speak in terms that are unintelligible to me I am in BIG TROUBLE (and they probably will be)!
So there’s a few moments out of a morning in my life!
