Well, it’s not really that bad haha – that title just appeared in my head and I had to use it! We have been blessed in so many ways with the older ones really not getting much sickness this year! They are just getting healthier and healthier and I am thrilled with that development.
Sir Lion (Son4) began getting croupy about a week and a half ago and it has been up and down with him since. He does seem to be kicking it now though so hopefully we can return to life as usual soon (is that good or bad?). Pea-1 has been coughing for about 3 weeks now and just when we thought he was starting to kick it – ugh – nope it just got worse!
So yesterday we had the joy of making a trip to see their Pediatrician. While in the office they proceeded to show their Dr all of the items in the room that need to be fixed, how good Pea-1 is getting at temper tantrums, how much Sir Lion loves playing in sinks, and how well Pea-2 knows Peekaboo (as he slaps himself in the head at the mere mention of the word) – OH, and how proficient they are getting at the English language haha. Pea-1 was calling me “Ma” – ugh and saying “happy” for peekaboo – so cute! Pea-2 was surprisingly quiet this time so maybe he’ll show off more at our next trip in which will probably be for him ((eye-roll))!
Due to their overwhelming helpfulness, cuteness and performing ability (at least I have to assume that’s the reason) we were rewarded with a brand new nebulizer (who knew that if they are working right you don’t have to wrestle a toddler for 20 minutes? or that they should be replaced more often than every 7 years?) and tons of prescriptions for more meds and antibiotics for Pea-1 – yea us!
I too have a cold and leaving out too many details ended up having misery heaped upon cold yesterday, so I am attempting to be a good mom in a decent mood, caring for my sickies – but OH MY WORD WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ABOUT DINNER? It doesn’t just magically appear around here – though I think that most of the boys around here (even Hubby for a long time) think that we do have a magic fairy that magically plans all meals and puts away their underwear!
But as I type this my knight in shining armor is coming to my rescue! He will be stopping at Costco to pick up a couple of things (I know – Yeah Right – like that is humanly possible to leave that store with only a COUPLE of things but anyway . . . ) and will grab something easy for dinner too! Next week hopefully I will be back on track with my meals all planned out – here’s hoping.
Well, I think I’ve wandered aimlessly about this subject just long enough to create a post and now I will go give a couple of breathing treatments and some meds out – again, yea me!
