The boys are as cute and climby as ever!!!!
They are very independent and truly do not seem to understand why in the world we would even try to put limitations on their activities. I now remember how much I detest disciplining a one year old – then times that by two and . . . ugh! The balance is so hard with these little people. They are learning everything right now, and it is very difficult to show them right from wrong in a way that they understand. It’s almost doubly difficult since they feed off of anything they see their brothers do! Thank goodness there are plenty of us to keep them from truly injuring or killing themselves.
They are 16 months now and I am still loving almost every minute with them – sure there’s a bit of frustration when they go opposite directions or when we have a day with tons of poo diapers, but overall they bring such joy!
One last note . . . they are very aware of one another! They play together, fight over toys and even people, vie for attention constantly and aren’t above shoving the other to get closer to mom or dad. They are trying to figure out “funny”! It is amusing and interesting to watch as they will do something and then look around to see who’s watching and laugh jovially hoping someone will join in. Last night E turned around looked M straight in the face and shoved him hard. Which M was NONE too happy about and E was disciplined for, but it was an interesting situation. E thought it would be funny from what I could tell – there’s also a slight chance that he thought M was encroaching on the Dad territory and he wanted to get rid of the nuisance.
