You’d think that with 6 sons I’d have enough material for at least 5 posts a day! This may actually be true, but the problem is your brain must be able to retain memory – mine doesn’t (ooooooh they should make memory cards for the human brain – hmmmmmm)! This is in fact a blessing in disguise, the very reason I remain mentally intact (sort of)! I mean if I remembered every little craziness from one day to the next there are times when I would not want to go on . . . but I digress!
After my post on Monday which required much thought, mind power and effort I have found myself without a lot of blog fodder since then. So here it goes!
This week so far has been an insane jumble of laundry – not surprising, but it is worse than usual. We decided to go all out last Friday and purchase a crazy amount of storage for our house – something that is vital to the survival of parents of many children. It takes up one entire wall in the living room and I am happy to report that it isn’t stuffed to the gills even though we have moved clothing for 5 of our 6 sons into it (we decided to let our oldest keep all of his clothes in the dresser in his room for a couple of reasons – 1. they are really too big to fit into these bins and 2. He’s old enough to take care of it all!) and it is very attractive! I’m so happy that it doesn’t look messy or out of place! I have to keep after Son2 though as he has a tendency to let things go and already had a large pile growing back there the other day LOL!
We have to begin a project for the Science Fair! The boys all want to make a Lava Lamp which is a fairly easy project – yay! The requirements for their entries are a little daunting, but I will attempt it anyway. It is actually a requirement for our oldest son who is in 5th grade, and they can do a “family project” which I think we will opt for. Since they all want to do the same thing I will let them each create their own lava lamp and then they can put all of their observations and other information on the same poster board. I’m thinking we will need to have a family science fair weekend sometime in the next few weeks.
