I never ceased to be amazed at the creativity of my sons! I honestly never realized the entertainment value of children. Sometimes it’s fun to go into the room the boys are playing in and pretend to be occupied … just to watch their antics.
Even when we are just busy with a project, things can get a little nutty. Like the day we moved the little boys into their new big bed. We were busy clearing the room when suddenly Monkey walked in (followed closely by Bug) singing (and grooving to) something that can only be described as a combination of “Shake Your Body” and “Shakeable You” (LOL).
It was definitely one of those moments when I wish I had a video camera attached to me in some way that I could just whip out and start filming.
So I shouldn’t have been surprised this morning when there was much entertainment to be had with toast. It began with our 9 year old (Tater) declaring “It’s aliiiiiiive. My toast is aliiive.” Then he walks across the room to prove it to me. “See mom, my toast has a beating heart” (one of his fingers on the other side of the toast was just pushing into it enough to make it look like a beating heart). I was actually highly amused.
Then later, in walks Monkey with his toast … “look mom, it’s a camera … I take your picture”.
Today, they took “Toast Creativity” to a whole new level! I’ve seen numerous gun creations out of toast, but never a piece that was alive or being used as a camera.
This week, I’m going to be on the lookout for as many “Memorable Moments” as I can find! What memorable moments are your kiddos creating in your life?
