Dear Underwear Manufacturer,
I am pleased as punch that underwear for the littlest of wearers has continued to offer fun and currently popular designs for my sons.
Over the years, I have realized that having as many fun pairs on hand as possible can not only inspire potty training in order to wear them, but can also save mom’s sanity with the many accidents that take place throughout the day.
I am very disappointed however that the strategy of placing the most fun graphic on the heiny of the underpants remains unchanged.
Do you not understand how important it is to these little people that they are able to SEE the character in question?????!!!!!
I have 6 sons and the youngest ones – a set of twins – are currently (sort of) potty training. Without fail they will put on the pair (only the one with the big character on the bottom) backward. ALL 6 OF THEM HAVE DONE THIS!
I understand that it is quite cute to see those little bottoms running around the house with that big ole character (this time around it is Diego from “Go Diego Go”) on their undies, but when 9 times out of 10 they are put on with the said big character on the front … well, the view is somewhat disturbing.
So, I petition that ALL preschool undies be at least offered in sets that do NOT contain the one pair with the big character on the hind end.
More than averagely faithful consumer,
Mom of Many Boys
