Things look a little odd right not don’t they???
A few weeks ago, we discovered that our site had been hacked. We removed everything online and completely gutted the entire site losing everything in the process.
Note: I am adding posts from Oldest to Newest. Feel free to take time to enjoy some of the posts from the very beginning of A Frog In My Soup back in 2006. You’ll get to see the joys and trials of life with my 6 very young boys (half of which are now adults, the other half now teenagers!)
Yes, I had every prevention and possible block against hackers in place possible for a mom blogger who really doesn’t write much anymore, but has 13 years of writing this site. In 2006 I started A Frog In My Soup as a way to simply process life. I didn’t have time to scrapbook anymore with 6 boys that included a set of infant twins and didn’t want to miss those important moments.
The tricky part is that back then, there just weren’t that many of us and I also truly have a heart to bless other mothers and encourage them through the rough and just everyday things. So this site grew to unbelievable proportions. The other tricky part is, having everything online is risky. Never forget this in anything in life. What we share online puts us at risk, but without a real offline version of things, everything’s just words and images that can be lost.
For those who have been around awhile, thank you.
I’ve been feeling for quite some time now that it’s time to really switch things up here and in a very strange way, losing everything is kind of giving me that opportunity. I am slowly reintegrating all of my old devotional posts, family posts and encouraging mom posts, but I’ll be eliminating a lot of the other things that really don’t fit with where I’m at now or don’t fit with the direction I want to go with this site at this time.
Here’s the direction of A Frog In My Soup going forward:
- A continued focus on Family and encouragement.
- Faith
- Homeschooling
- Books & Reading
For those of you who are looking forward to a clearer focus, I hope you’ll enjoy sticking around. To those who really just don’t feel drawn to the new direction, please know I have appreciated you all so very much over the years and I truly wish you all peace and happiness in this journey of life.
